Is it GCP really free after the free-trial period?

Hello beautiful community,

I'm clearly a newbie exploring GCP.

I followed the requirements to create a free-tier compute engine:

Instance Type: e2-micro

Region: us-central1 (Iowa);

Disk Type Standard Persistent Disk or SSD Persistent Disk; 10 GB.

Provisioning model: Spot

and I'm keeping it under the 720h/month.

But sadly my trial-period ended, and I have a current cost of ~0.10$/per day (compute engine).

Anyone experiencing the same?

    In the compute engine part, you can see that a non preemptible e2 micro is included in the free tier.

    You can note that is monthly based, not instance based. Therefore you will also pay nothing (stay in the free tier) if you have 2 e2-micro instances over the half of the month.

    Your issue is that you have a spot VM, not a regular one. I have a regular e2-micro and I pay nothing every month.

    Other services have cool free tier, and yes, you can have Google Cloud free if you stay in the limit.
