Issue in upgradation from spring 2.x to spring 3.2.0

Hi I have added plugins and dependencies as given in the following link to my project : https://docs.openrewrite.org/recipes/java/spring/boot3/upgradespringboot_3_2 but after running and changes have been applied, I am getting following error when trying to run the service:

Open Rewrite/ Spring Boot

Solution

  • Spring boot 3.x requires java 17 https://spring.io/blog/2022/05/24/preparing-for-spring-boot-3-0. You have to make sure gradle uses java 17 as well.
