Tomcat: The origin server did not find a current representation for the target resource

I'm trying to write my first program in SpringMVC and Tomcat, but when I open the page, it just doesn't find it. What could be the reason? I am using Tomcat version 9.0.78.

I've just started taking a course on SpringMVC, so I don't really understand these subtleties of configuring configuration files yet.

Solution

  • Tomcat: The origin server did not find a current representation for the target resource

    The web application is configured to dispatch only resources. But no resources were requested to dispatch. In this case Tomcat is looking for default files such as index.html to use instead.
