I am trying to refresh rmi object the probleme is i am using JavaFX and i can't bind the rmi object in the constructor or initialize of the controller if i do this the GUI wont show up but when i start in other method with this :

When i remove the first line of the code the Naming.unbind and run a second time the method i get : java.rmi.AlreadyBoundException.
What is the best way to check if the rmi object is already bound so i dont have to bind it again ?
With this code you need to catch this exception on unbind() and then bind() regardless of the result.
You could make your life a lot simpler by just using rebind() unconditionally. That's what it's for.
NB
You don't need a random-number generator. new ServerSocket(0) will do the trick, and better because it won't fail unless there is no available port at all. But how are you going to communicate the port number to the clients?
You need to store the result of createRegistry() into a static variable, to prevent it being garbage-collected.
