I implement a Jtree, and its node is initialized by "Event" object. I made Jtree editable, and add a ModelListener to the model of this tree. But, When I use getUserObject() method on the changed node in this listener, the node only return me a String object instead of the "Event" object. Why? I know getUserObject() returns the parent node, so i use parent.getChildAt(0) to get the real changed node, but it's useless. Here's my code:

You are setting user object to string in root. See:
DefaultMutableTreeNode root = new DefaultMutableTreeNode("test");
