Creating a copy of an excel file is not working as expected

Question

I want to copy the entire content of one excel(.xls) into another after replacing " and '. However, this code is creating a new excel but only copying the last column(in my case, it is 7th column). Please advice where am i going wrong with this code...

The issue is with the following lines..

row_read=sheet_read.getRow(rowNum);
row_write = sheet_write.createRow(rowNum);

it need to be outside the cell loop (for(int cellNum = 0; cellNum<=7; cellNum++))

it should look like.

 for (int rowNum = 0; rowNum <= rowCount; rowNum++) {
            row_read = sheet_read.getRow(rowNum);
            row_write = sheet_write.createRow(rowNum);
            for (int cellNum = 0; cellNum <= 7; cellNum++) {
                // Cell cell = null;
String temp =  formatter.formatCellValue(row_read.getCell(cellNum));

also you might need to change the import static Cell cell; to import HSSFCell cell;
