java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: org.springframework.beans.BeanUtils.findPropertyForMethod

I am getting below error while trying to configure spring data in my applciation. I am using spring data and EclipseLink, along with spring-security and oauth2.

Solution

  • You have some version mismatches. You are using Spring 4.0, and BeanUtils class in that version has a method findPropertyForMethod which takes one parameter of type java.lang.reflect.Method.

    Your exception says that another signature of that method is needed (probably by spring-orm-jpa, judging by the logs), one that takes two parameters, java.lang.reflect.Method and java.lang.Class and that is available in Spring 4.1.5.

    So, your options are to either downgrade all Spring components to 4.0, or upgrade everything to 4.1.5.
