I have created three different CSS file for a website. When i view the website on a mobile device, it is not displayed correctly. The images and text overlap and the website is not resized. The css code is:

Using % to set widths and heights is the approach you are looking for since the % is relative to the viewport size and adapts its size depending on it. When you set a width/height as a fixed number of pixels, say 500px, it will be 500px in any viewport, causing the overflows you mention and messed up layouts.

In each, you can minimize your browser window and resize it at will. You will see that with the absolute size approach, the divs maintain their size, even if the screen is smaller than them. On the relative size approach, you can see the divs adapting to the resize action.
