Quarto-html watermark

Question

Why the captioned figures in Quarto won't stay behind the watermark? When the figure has captions and is referenced in the main text the watermark disappears. Instead the figures without caption will be behind the watermark

## Running Code

When you click the **Render** button a document will be generated that includes both content and the output of embedded code. You can embed code like this:

You can add options to executable code like this

#| echo: false
2 * 2
```

The `echo: false` option disables the printing of code (only output is displayed).

Instead as you can notice from the snip the watermark can stay above the top figure (not captioned) but it goes beyond the bottom figure (captioned) - both figure are the same, have similar settings but the only difference is to be captioned -referenced in the main text

You could use a z-index (as also mentioned by @A-tech in the comments) to your css to keep the watermark in front of all other elements like this:
