Not able to import local project jar into another local maven spring boot Kotlin project

I have a common spring boot project that I am using to keep all files, which are common across multiple spring boot projects. To use the classes I will simply import the common project dependenecy in pom file and then will be able to use it. Project is using kotlin (java version 17) and maven version 3.9.2

here is a sample class from my common module.

When I am trying to import it into another project in local

I am not able to import it. Or Intellij is not able giving me import suggestions

But, when I am Checking in external Libraries I am able to see the dependency there.

Any Suggestions on what the issue could be, here is my pom file for the project where I am trying to add the dependency.

Solution

  • A standard Spring Boot JAR puts the classes into the BOOT-INF dir. Therefore, it cannot be used as dependency by other projects.
