This is the error that occurs when i try to execute my spring boot api to generate the database :

Solution

  • Since Hibernate 6.2, there was a new check introduced for bidirectional mapping which was breaking if you have done one to many mapping with column name. Temporarily, use the bidirectional way. i.e. Use joincolumn annotation in child class instead of using column name for mapping.

    This issue is expected to be fixed in Hibernate 6.3
