We have 56 applications writing logs to application insights. I would like to monitor all of them in a single place. It is pretty hard to find some real work samples on how to do this. There is Log Analytics, Monitor and Sentinel. For application insights only it looks like Log Analytics is the answer to my solution (correct if I am wrong). When I create a Log Analytics work space I can see you need to create Workbooks. But where do you choose the 56 application insights sources I would like to monitor? I can find if it is in the Workspace or it is in a Workbook you do it. I need some kind of super basic tutorial on how to start defining your data sources.
In an Azure Monitor/App Insights/Log Analytics Workspace workbook you can select one or more log (analytics/app insights) resources using the dropdowns once you start adding visualizations.
First, add a new workbook, then change the query:
From the Data Source dropdown choose "Logs", then choose the Resource Type "Application Insights" or "Log Analytics":
