Unable to get environment variable in application.properties in a spring boot app

Question

I want to get a property's value from envrionment variable and use it inside the class. But I am getting this error: (I have also tried setting TEST_VALUE inside system variables)

You have to change your application.properties to:

test.value = ${test.value}

because TEST_VALUE does not exist. Otherwise rename your system variable by TEST_VALUE
