I am using xsl:if to check whether the value is numeric or not by using number function in a table column - column-two, but it not allowing any zero. when i checked it by removing xsl:if i am getting 0 in my column cell, else 0's are not present in output.

Since i need to print empty block in cell if any non numeric characters present, I used this number function in xsl:if to check whether the cell value is numeric to apply comma separator. So if i removed that xsl:if test am getting 0 in output(correct me if the guess is wrong). i am using xsl file with xml file to create PDF using apache fop, thanks in advance.
The problem with your test is not the number()
function. The number()
function correctly converts a zero to a number. However, the number zero is evaluated to false()
when converted to a Boolean - and xsl:if
must return a Boolean result for its test
expression.
Try instead:
<xsl:if test="number(function_number)=number(function_number)">
This works because NaN is never equal to anything, not even to itself.
