I have a CNN model I made following a tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NMd7WjZiCzc). The model is made to detect images of cats and dogs.
The model only detects takes in black and white images. I was wondering how I could change the code so it can take in RGB images.

I want it to train on RGB images and be able to test it on RGB images.
Gray-scale images have 1 channel and RGB images have 3 channel. So, in order to deal with RGB images, you need to perform the following changes in your code:
