using openFileInput to read a 3gp file, is it possible?


I am trying to use openFileInput to read a 3gp file that is generated earlier in the code and saved wherever the Environment saves the file. Is this even possible and if not, how should I be approaching this problem? Here is the specific method:

            FileInputStream fis = openFileInput(file);
            int size = fis.available();
            byte[] buffer = new byte[size];
            fis.read(buffer);
            fis.close();
            rawdata = new String(buffer);

    No, because openFileInput() does not have anything to do with Environment.

    Use new FileInputStream(), passing in a File object. You are already creating the File object (outputFile).
