spring boot war packaging fails because of wrong database access credentials

Question

I am trying to deploy my spring boot app to a private JVM, the application is running successful on my local setup and I can build war easily, in my application.properties file I have my database connection properties for my local database, after I changed them to the credentials of the database in the host, the maven build is failing with exception:

  Host 'X.X.X.X' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server

I do not understand why in there is attempt to access the mysql server during the build?

MySQL internally have table which defined host which are allowed to connect to server. You need to add IP of your server in those table. How to allow remote connection to mysql
