Streaming audio through websockets IBM not working


I am trying to to stream audio with microphone through websockets with IBM Watson. I get the following error:

TypeError: The system cannot find the file specified

I think there is something wrong with subprocess, please help me correct this/get it working.

Solution

  • Arecord is a linux tool to record audio in Alsa framework, it is not going to work on Linux. You need to use something like pyaudio to record sound instead.

           p = pyaudio.PyAudio()
    
           stream = p.open(format=pyaudio.paInt16,
                    channels=1, 
                    rate=16000, 
                    input=True,
