i'm trying to add Hibernate envers to my application. The db I use has already lots of data. Here's the hibernate configuration

I debugged, and in Configuration.class line 1204 (package org.hibernate.cfg) I see the application tries to create the REVINFO table. Until that moment, tableCatalog is null, but after creating REVINFO it becomes "dbo".
I also tried to set the property to "create", but in that case many data are removed during the creating of the AUDIT tables. Reading the documentation, I understood I could be able to use "update".
Any idea or at least explanation? Thanks
It is because your entity specifies the catalog attribute as dbo. On databases that support catalogs, this is often the database name the object should be created/managed within.
On SQL Server, dbo typically implies a schema, so you might want to specify schema="dbo" and remove the catalog="dbo" part of the @Table annotation or let the database user which you're connecting with just use whatever defaults it is configured to use, which is typically the dbo schema and specify the annotation as @Table(name = "C_CONTACT").
