Validating the email address in UITextField

Question

I am trying to put validation in text field containing email address.
What is to be added in string "emailRegEx" to limit the user from inserting three dots in email address or what I have to write in method for same.

- (BOOL)textField:(UITextField *)textField shouldChangeCharactersInRange:(NSRange)range replacementString:(NSString *)string.

you can do it by using the extension of String

extension String {
  var isEmail: Bool {
    let emailRegEx = "[A-Z0-9a-z._%+-]+@[A-Za-z0-9.-]+\\.[A-Za-z]{2,4}"
    let emailTest = NSPredicate(format:"SELF MATCHES %@", emailRegEx)
    return emailTest.evaluate(with: self)
  }
}

now you can use it as

if emailtext.isEmail {  
  print("email is valid")    
} else {
  print("email is not valid") 
}
