Missed var before "I" in cycle or Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'length' of undefined


I have some javascript code while trying to code a tic tac toe game, but chrome developer tool gives this error

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'length' of undefined I've found that when I comment 'isEnd(bigArray[i][j]);' in the end of the code, it works. Code:

the result is

Solution

  • It's because in the function:

    function isEnd(board) {
    

    you have this line:

    for (i = 0; i < board.length; i += 3) {
    

    So the i variable is global.

    Change this line to:

    for (var i = 0; i < board.length; i += 3) {
    

    Example:

      max: inputItem === "o" ? "x" : "o",
      min: inputItem === "x" ? "x" : "o"
