I am new to CakePHP 2.4 and I hope someone can help me with a problem I have.
I have the memory exhausted problem in my project - and I have debugged it and got everything to work with 2 GB of memory - but my webhosting company only allows 1 GB.
So I was wondering what made the MySQL use up so much RAM - it happens when I add a coupon to an order - and the coupons contains every product in my shop.
I put debug before the line that caused the problem and a long list of arrays (approx 1200 A4 pages) - I find that a lot and I guess that is why the mysql.php in cake makes the following error:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 188743680 bytes exhausted
(tried to allocate 32 bytes) in lib/Cake/Model/Datasource/Database/Mysql.php on line 277
Is there a way to go around this - so either the call is smaller or the memory is increased.
EDITED: I think it's not the Coupon controller/model that makes the problem it's the order model cause it fetches all products - have put up the code below:
Hope someone will take a look at it at give me a hint to how I can get it to work.
I have tried debug the memory usage and it only uses about 3 MB - but when add the coupon it just floods the memory and runs forever.

188743680 bytes is 180meg, so you are not exausting your 1GB of memory. However it is likely that PHP has been configured to use a maximum of 180Meg.
The fact that you got it to work on a machine with 2Gb of memory is irrelevant, what was the php.ini memory_limit set to on this other machine.
If you have access to the php.ini file then you can change this limit by amending memory_limit = 180M to a larger number.
But I would say that your issue is more likely related to how you process the result set, so it might be a good idea to have a look at refactoring the query and the PHP that processes the result of the query.
