Remove/ delete or hide column in spotfire

Question

How to remove/delete or hide column using iron script in spotfire ?

For adding a column i have done as follows:

curDT = Document.ActiveDataTableReference
cols = curDT.Columns
# targetCol = Document.Properties["myColumnSelection"]
