What is use of this new code added in Mainactivity on update of ADT and new Android sdk?

What is use of this new code on update of android sdk? Anybody explain?

When you create a new project, Eclipse makes it easier for you to add common code patterns by using their supplied templates. Since most people are using Fragments now days, it saves you the trouble of creating the Fragment, its layout and some helper methods.
